intertextual references

Throughout planning our production we got inspiration from numerous sources one of Whig best being the drummer from the Arctic Monkeys song "View from the afternoon" being that there is focal points to the drummer specifically from the video. The videos main point is the drummer and it creates an image for the band themselves as it advertises the bands main drummer. The use within our music video is that we flicker back to the drummer and make sure the drummer is a focal point of some scenes of the video. The drummer in view from the afternoon portrays the drummer as being more forward to the singer in the way that drummers are normally at the back or at the side and only Sen from there, as such we captured the drummer as a thematic link towards the Arctic Monkeys video.

Strengths of the productions:
There seems to be a fair few people being able to correctly label the genre or find one close to my videos one and therefore it seems to me that the music video and print productions are decoded just as i had planned.
according to the results there is a few people who didn't see a clear genre within the video and therefore i think if i was doing this again or repeating it that i would encode more links to the genre within the video and add more depth into the view able portion.

weaknesses:
It becomes clear during the feedback that there is sometimes not within the music video and this seemed to effect the audiences opinion of the production.
